Here are some fun tips I’ve compiled over the years. Interior decorating is fun and it can be expensive but it doesn’t have to be.

ART, PLANTS, AND GOOD LIGHT ARE ALL YOU REALLY NEED TO MAKE YOUR HOME LOOK “DONE.”

I’ve been a home organizer and decorator in Los Angeles since 2014. I often go into people’s homes who have not had the time or know-how to approach filling in the gaps to complete their space (empty walls, empty spaces, outgrown furniture, unflattering lighting, lack of dimension/layering, etc…)

Despite having lived in their homes for sometimes decades, so many of my clients have blank walls. Too busy and overwhelmed by the task is why. One of my favorite aspects of interior design is to curate and place art. Art, plants, airflow, space to move, and good light. That’s all you need to have a home that both feels and looks beautiful. If you don’t have art your home will lack personality and feel undone. If you don’t have plants, natural light, and airflow your home will feel stagnant.

Today I met a 23 year-old women who had a cloth napkin and placemat collection that I would typically find in the home of a 65 year-old woman who lives in a gated community in Altadena. This “young woman” lived in a “hip” apartment in “downtown LA.” Hip, she was not. Nice, she was. Help her, I did…(said in Yoda voice).
